Language Programs

Implementing efforts to build a space for international education, the Tiradentes Institute seeks to expand opportunities aimed at diversifying competitiveness in the university and executive spheres, through international experiences and engagement in a multicultural and innovative environment. In this sense, it recognizes the importance of the knowledge of foreign languages (oral, comprehension and writing) for the advancement of society. Considering its physical presence in Boston, in the United States, and the role of the English language in the current world, the Institute offers short-term English courses in Boston during the summer and winter holidays for Tiradentes students and employees, with native instructors. In addition, seeking to strengthen Brazilian culture in the North American ecosystem and providing the exchange of experiences, the Institute offers the academic community of UMASS Boston, students and collaborators, online Portuguese classes with Brazilian instructors.
